Duckling2 is still learning to talk. Currently, we read to him and we work with books with pictures and trying to
identify things. He loves books. When sitting with us, he will point at an object
and say something like, "Bah dee?", which we think is his equivalent of "What's
that?".
So tonight he is sitting in my lap and he's pointing to pictures in an
"alphabet book", with an item for each letter. (The
old "A is for 'apple'" bit and so on.)
We get to "Y", which is a picture of a Yak. So he points to it:
"Bah dee?"
"Yak!"
"Bwahahahahah!!!!!!"
He thinks the sound of the word "Yak" is funny. He points at it
again:
"Bah dee?"
"Yak!"
"Bwahahahahahahaha!!!!!!
So for about 15 minutes, he's having a great time pointing to a Yak and
listening to me say "Yak" and he's laughing his @$$ off! He's
laughing so hard he's got tears rolling down his cheeks.
MrsDuck comes in and wonders what's going on.
Duckling2 points to the Yak:
"Bah dee?"
"Yak!"
"Bwahahahahahahahahha!!!!!
Oh well, even if he isn't reading Tolstoy yet, he's having a great time
regardless.
